About Sunago
Good Software Works Great software helps us extend our purpose and mission!
Why'd you guys create Sunago?

For years, software companies have been charging churches and non-profit organizations exorbitant amounts of money for applications that, well, suck. Web based solutions are now on the rise, but ask yourself, do you really need that bloated capability or for that matter what some would call another social platform. Why break the bank for software that's a pain to use; does 20 times more that you need; involves lock-in contracts; and subjects you to unfair pricing hikes as your church grows.

We thought we could do better

Sunago was designed around the specific needs of a rapidly-growing church in Portland, Oregon. We started with the basic needs for organization, communication, and collaboration, then began to dream - what if we had a better way to keep track of our members, form teams to work on specific missions, communicate with them, plan events, automate key processes, and build reports to help make important strategic decisions? What if we had a private, community space for our members to come; extend/expand current missions (house church, volunteer activity,….); find and organize other misional opportunities; schedule events, and fundamentally help one another? What if we had an economically feasible way to allow parents to securely check their children into child care? What if all of this happened in one place, without separate, disconnected databases with outdated information? What if members could set their own profile information to include what they are willing to share? And what if we could do it for a fraction of the cost of everyone else?

So, where have you been?
Over the past year, we’ve focused on improving the user experience – from completely redesigning Sunago Community and revamping of much of Sunago Core. We’ve observed our customers following a very natural adoption path.

We are very excited and please to say "it is time to spread the word."

Customer adoption - we see customers
First, adopt a core set of administrative capabilities enabling leaders, staff, and volunteers to work more efficiently using a secure internet solution.
Secondly, extend Community (house church, volunteer services, …. serving ) beyond physical meetings, a place to find and create mission.
Along the way, they realize the need for an automated, secure children’s check-in.
We’ve seen this time-and-time again, whether a church plant, a church re-start, or an established church looking for an integrated web-based solution they can adopt in stages.
